Spotlight on Todd Whittaker

Todd Whittaker, M.S.
Program Chair of
Information Technology (IT)

As a Program Chair, Todd Whittaker oversees the planning, delivery and strategic direction of the Information Technology major. He ensures that course content and outcomes stay current with employer needs, maintaining a balance between theory and practical application.

Todd brings to Franklin more than 14 years of relevant experience in computer-related fields. He has previous college-level instruction experience as well as an extensive background in the IT industry as an independent consultant. An accomplished instructor, communicator and program designer, Todd brings a breadth of knowledge to the classroom that augments course curriculum, providing students with a relevant and well-rounded educational experience.

An Ohio native, Todd earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and a Master of Science in Computer Science from the University of Akron, as well as a Master of Science in Computer and Information Science from The Ohio State University.

Todd resides in Westerville, Ohio, with his wife, four-year-old daughter and three-year-old son. He enjoys playing games with his children, gardening and teaching a home-based Bible study.
