Post Secondary Enrollment Option Program (PSEOP)

Are you a high school student who wants to get a head start on college?

Franklin University makes it possible to help you get started on your way to academic and career success!

Franklin's Post Secondary Enrollment Option Program (PSEOP) is designed to provide qualified high school students with access to college-level coursework. As a bonus, the college courses you take through PSEOP may also fulfill your high school graduation requirements if approved by your local school district.

Is this program for you?

PSEOP is intended for students who wish to gain skills or knowledge that can only be found in college-level courses. It can also help you see what it’s like to take a college-level course and meet the higher academic expectations. Whether you’ve made the decision to go college after your high school graduation, or you’re still weighing the decision, PSEOP is a good way to get started early and to experience higher education.

Are you qualified to enter PSEOP?

If you are a high school freshman or sophomore, you must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.2 or higher. Juniors and seniors must have a cumulative grade point average of 2.5 or higher.

Do you have transfer credit?

Franklin University will accept transfer credit from other colleges you attended while in high school.

Are there any limitations to the number of courses you can take through PSEOP?

At Franklin, you may enroll for Fall and Winter trimesters only, and you may enroll in no more than two courses per trimester unless granted permission by Student Services Associate and/or high school counselor. Additional courses may be completed on your own, and at your own expense.

What will be expected of you in Franklin's courses?

The Ohio Board of Regents policy guidelines state that high school students should be enrolled in regular college classes on one of Franklin's campuses with other college students. (Main Campus in downtown Columbus, Dublin Campus and Westerville Campus). You should be prepared to handle the academic challenges expected of regular college students with the same level of responsibility and independence.

Ready, set, learn!

If  PSEOP and Franklin are right for you, Franklin’s teaching format will help you succeed as a college student. The Balanced Learning Format (BLF) is the hallmark of instruction at Franklin. It assures that all students receive the same high-quality education, the same outcomes, and the same measures. It is unique to our University, and it is what sets Franklin apart. BLF distributes the workload evenly over the number of weeks the course is delivered. As such, it fits well within the busy lives that most of our students have.
