Director of Institutional Research
Franklin University is seeking an experienced, motivated and innovative individual to compile, maintain and analyze institutional and other data to support the operation, decision-making and planning functions of the University. This will be accomplished by implementing a comprehensive program of institutional effectiveness designed to meet both the continuous improvement interests of the institution and the standards of relevant accreditation agencies.
Additional responsibilities will include coordinating the identification, implementation and review of institutional effectiveness indices, managing the measurement of data, producing reports, designing and maintaining databases and data warehouses for reporting and informational purposes, managing and training staff and other duties as required and assigned.
Qualifications for this position include a doctorate in a relevant social science or quantitative discipline (e.g., Psychology, Social Research, Economics, Higher Education Administration and Applied Statistics), or a related empirical research field from a regionally accredited college or university, plus five years of professional experience in the areas of institutional research, continuous improvement, program review and/or accreditation in an educational institution.
The successful candidate will also have a thorough knowledge of institutional research and have the ability to implement studies, and have experience with academic administrative database systems, basic programming skills and data extraction methods. Familiarity with state and federal reporting systems, ability to think creatively and effective interpersonal communication skills are also required.
