Director of Strategic Planning

The Director of Strategic Planning will be responsible for developing and implementing all strategic planning efforts.  Immediate needs include conducting an analysis of current university planning practices and making recommendations to University leadership for process improvements; developing internal practices to support both short- and long-term planning;  and producing a long-range planning document to be updated annually. Ongoing goals for the position include managing annual strategic planning including budgetary considerations; providing planning support for strategic growth initiatives; conducting environmental scans and research to stay abreast of market trends; aligning goals with those of external constituents; and leading the University and individual departments through non-academic program reviews and assessment activities.

Qualifications: A master’s degree is required, along with 5-7 years of proven planning experience demonstrating increasing responsibility, proven budgeting and resource management experience, and proficiency in forecasting, trending, modeling, and statistical analysis. The successful candidate should possess strong computer skills (including knowledge of data management tools), knowledge of reporting formats, strong presentation skills, and excellent organizational and communication skills.
