Franklin University Expands |
|||
|
Columbus, Ohio - Franklin University, a leading educator of working adults in central Ohio, is pleased to announce the expansion of its Main Campus, downtown with the opening of the Main Street Building located at 285 Main Street. The Main Street Building, adjacent to Phillips Hall, which houses the University's computer labs, classrooms and Nationwide Library, will house a number of administrative departments. This significant investment in the expansion of the University's physical campus reinforces Franklin's culture of service and commitment to growth. This recent acquisition helps expands the University's reach and refines its ability to anticipate and respond to the needs of Franklin's ever-growing, diverse student population - as well as those of its faculty and staff. This latest expansion into the Main Street Building allows the University to leverage a building specifically designed for office space as well as enlarge its main campus presence. Constructed in 1982 by Miles-McClellan Construction and Development for the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission (MORPC), Franklin's newest building has been redesigned to support its infrastructure needs as well as provide a comfortable, employee-focused office environment for a number of University departments. The building's open design plan encourages a collaborative, interactive atmosphere with work stations equipped with ergonomic keyboard trays, monitor arms and task chairs. The redesign of the Main Street Building serves as a model for future updates through Franklin University. With a history of meeting the needs of our students through innovation and flexibility, it's no surprise that Franklin University has been equally adaptive when meeting the need for expanded physical resources.
