How do I get started?

  1. Complete Franklin University's Undergraduate Application for Admission (free of charge)
  2. Complete your Education Support Center application to obtain a comprehensive military education assessment. This will become an official transcript at Franklin.
  3. Send a request for all transcripts (high school, college, GED, AARTS)
  4. Make a phone appointment to meet your Student Services Associate (SSA)-Optional
  5. Register for PF 321, Learning Strategies, through your Student Services Associate (SSA). If you have any questions about registration or prerequisites, please contact your SSA at 1-877-341-6300.
  6. Take placement test(s) in math, writing, reading and/or computer literacy (if necessary).
  7. Contact the Franklin University Bookstore at 1-877-341-6300, x6262 to order course materials.

Tips for Success

  • Be sure to request transcripts from all institutions you have attended. This ensures a complete and accurate Student Agreement.
  • Students are not automatically withdrawn from a class because of nonattendance. Please refer to the drop policy outlined in Franklin University Academic Bulletin.
  • Check with a Financial Services Associate (FSA) prior to dropping any classes as it may affect your eligibility for assistance.
  • Financial Aid is an annual process. Submit applications by the published deadline and follow the detailed instructions.
  • Study and writing assistance is available FREE of charge through Franklin’s Student Learning Center (SLC).
  • For each Balanced Learning Format (BLF) course taken, expect to invest 8-12 hours per week of study time outside of class for undergraduate and 12-16 hours per week of study time outside of class for graduate.
  • Time management will be a crucial part of your success as a student. Budget your time wisely.
